Thank you for taking the time to visit the Chatham Historical Society online. Whether you came searching for a piece of family history, planning a visit to our museum, or simply curious about the story behind East Hampton, Cobalt, and Middle Haddam, we're genuinely glad you stopped by.

For more than sixty years, our Society has worked to preserve the artifacts, photographs, and stories that make this town what it is today, and none of that work would be possible without people like you. Every visit, every shared photograph, and every conversation about the past helps keep East Hampton's history alive for the next generation.
